Should Ellis County form a Trolley/Train Company?
With Ellis County becoming subject to
E.P.A. required vehicle inspections and being under the threat of
becoming an "EPA Non-Attainment County" is it a good time for us to take a serious
look at joining the regional transportation effort either in whole or at least in part?
We have initiated dialogue between Ellis County, the State, and area City Officials
concerning this issue. I think that it is timely to take a look at all possibilities
including joining as an entire County rather than individual cities or possibly even
forming an independent transit agency that in-turn would contract with
D.A.R.T.
for services. Your input is welcomed on this issue.What do you think?
